Dear Competitors,

Only a few days remain until the start of Congress Varna.

On the occasion of the 50^th anniversary edition of the International Bridge Festival, the organizers are pleased to introduce a new format for Bulgaria’s most prestigious pairs tournament – the Polish Mitchell movement – as well as a new playing venue in the Congress Centre of the Cherno More Hotel.

The tournament will consist of six mini-sessions, each comprising 10 boards. Play will be organized using the standard Mitchell movement, without switching directions, in several sections of 10 pairs each.

Organizing an event in this format is considerably more demanding. Therefore, online registration on bridge.bg is now open, and we kindly encourage all players who have not yet registered to do so within the next few days.

The registration deadline is Wednesday, 5 August, at 5:00 p.m. On-site registration will be available only if necessary to complete the sections.

Should you experience any technical difficulties with the online registration, or if you are unable to register on your own for any reason, please contact Dimitar Georgiev for assistance at +359 895 587 265 ( also at WhatsApp or Viber ).

We look forward to welcoming you and wish all participants the very best of luck!

The Organizing Committee
